Anxiety as a prevailing factor of performance of university mathematics students during the COVID-19 pandemic

Introduction. Anxiety is characterised by feelings of tension, apprehension or fear. It arises from concern about student performance at university, with an emphasis on exact science subjects. not only students, who suffer mathematical anxiety. However, anxiety a predominant factor in all levels. The aim the research was to describe levels also known as distress manifested university mathematics students studying Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo (UNACH) during 2020-1 academic semester. Methodology and methods. current study carried out applying quantitative paradigm. descriptive exploratory design. total sample consisted 120 are preparing their level, and, subject different careers UNACH. selection intentional non-probabilistic type having inclusion criteria been diagnosed disorder.
